Mienke, born in Rotterdam, studied art history and archeology in Leiden and Amsterdam. From 1981 she worked for 15 years in various positions at Elsevier-Bonaventura (now Reed Business Information / RELX). In recent years she was responsible for the business magazines as a publisher. Subsequently, she worked for a number of years at the Dutch Broadcasting Production Company (NOB) as responsible for all television facilities. Since 1998 she is the director-owner of Metaplan Consultants, a renowned executive search agency. In addition, Mienke Schaberg holds various administrative positions of various kinds.
